Jan Crawford began her career as a printmaker and has been an active member of Malaspina Printmakers Gallery since 1986. She is known for largeand brightly coloured monotypes that capture the culture and landscape of Southern BC, specifically the Okanagan region.

Currently Jan paints in acrylic on subjects that relate to to identity. She writes, "I have come to realize the important role the land plays in defining our identity. My focus as an artist is to continue investigating how identity is forever transforming and evolving: whether rooted in natural environments or large urban centers."

Jan is represented by The Linda Lando Gallery, Vancouver; The Hambleton Galleries, Kelowna; and the Malaspina Printmakers Gallery, Vancouver. Jan is also a member of The Federation of Canadian Artists. She donates her work annually to various galleries and arts organizaions, including Arts Umbrella "Spash" Art For Life, The Kelowna Art Gallery and The Penticton Art Gallery. Commissions are available upon request.
